Dear Fellow Theater Enthusiast:
I’m sure you’ve noticed the many improvements we’ve made at the Barn theater over the last few years. From a new sidewalk from the parking lot to the porch (with the help of Eagle Scout Alex Koenigsberg), the extension on the porch (with the help of Eagle Scout John Soyka), the new concrete pad on the concession stand side of the porch, removal of trees and roots by the concession stand, new road signs, new stage walls, new LED stage lighting, new body microphones, to updated Resinski green room facilities, just to name a few.
We are continuing all of these improvements in 2019 with some big ticket items. The roof needs to be replaced. This is vital to protect the new lighting and sound equipment we’ve installed in recent years. With the heavy rains we’ve experienced in the last year, we’ve seen some leaking in the theater. The HVAC/heating system is over 20 years old and needs replaced. We want to keep our patrons comfortable during the performances. Unfortunately, the tree in the porch is rotting and needs removed with subsequent repairs to the porch floor and roof. And lastly, the carpeting in the theater under the seats is going to be replaced, and the chairs will be cleaned, arm rests reupholstered, and seats fastened tight to the floor.
To finance all of these great improvements, we are beginning a capital campaign to raise $40,000. You can be a part of this capital campaign to continue the legacy of this wonderful gem of a theater by contributing to the campaign. No donation is too small! Any amount moves us closer to our goal and continues the CLP legacy!
