Cresson Lake Playhouse is excited to announce the 2025 Winter Youth Workshop! This workshop will cover all aspects of performing arts, including acting, singing, movement, and performance readiness skills. Professional teaching artists will guide participants in each session, helping them build confidence in their performing abilities and understand the theatre process.

Older students will focus on scene work, dance, and stage movement, while younger students will develop skills in spontaneous acting, movement, and singing. By the end of the workshop, participants will be audition-ready for various productions, including CLP’s youth theatre production of "James and the Giant Peach," which will be performed for schools from May 6-9 at the barn theatre and for the public from May 8, 9, and 11 at the same venue.

Additionally, participation in this workshop will reduce the participation fee for "James and the Giant Peach" from $50 to $25. The workshops will be held:

Grades 3—5, 10 am—12 pm

Workshop held at Cresson Lake Playhouse’s rehearsal hall at 427 S. Center St (bottom of Sun Seekers building)

$75 per student for all 4 sessions if the reservation is made on or before January 10, 2025.  $85 per student if the reservation is made after January 11, 2025. Reserve early, class sizes are limited and have traditionally filled up quickly!
